Create an API Key

In this article, you'll learn how to create an API key.

You'll need this key if a third-party provider requires it to connect to KlickTipp. It's is needed for the API functions → signin, → signout,  and → signoff.

Important to know

To access the KlickTipp API, you'll KlickTipp Premium or higher. Please note that our API functionality is therefore not available with the Standard version of KlickTipp.

How to Create an API Key: Step-by-Step  

  • Click on → New list building  in the → List building menu.
  • Select the → Entry via API key  button.
  • Assign a name for your list building.
  • Select an opt-in process.
  • Optionally, choose a manual tag at → Additional tagging.
  • Copy the API key to your clipboard.
  • Finally, click on → Save.
  • Use the API key with your desired third-party provider.
