Sign-Up via Email: Simplify Offline Contact Management

With the → Sign-Up via Email  function, you can easily add new contacts under → Contacts  without the need for a registration form. This is especially useful for offline events.

For example, you could offer your guest a freebie as an incentive. They then simply send an email with a specific subject to a predefined email address. They'll then be automatically signed up and added to → Contacts.  Afterward, you can trigger a specific campaign with a corresponding tag, for example. This delivers the freebie to your contact.

The → Sign-Up via Email  function is also used by some third-party systems. If an API connection is not yet available, this can be a solution.

Step-by-Step Instructions

How to Set Up a Sign-Up via Email

  • Click on → List Building  → New List Building.
  • Select → Sign-Up via Email.
  • Name your list building.
  • Create an individual email address with the domain @klick-tipp.com.
  • Choose a subject for the entry.
  • Choose a subject for the unsubscription.
  • Click on → Create Sign-Up via Email.

A contact sends an email with the defined subject to the specified email address. They are then added to your Contact Cloud in KlickTipp using their sender email address.

Unsubscribing from the Contact Cloud works in a similar way. This is done by sending an email with the corresponding subject for unsubscription.

Good to Know

It may take a few minutes for a new Sign-Up  to work via email.

The same applies when changes are made to an existing entry.
