Set Up SMS Unsubscription for SMS Marketing in KlickTipp

In this article, we explain how to easily set up SMS unsubscription in KlickTipp. This feature lets your contacts opt out of specific campaigns while staying active in your Contacts list.

Please note that SMS unsubscription is only available in the Enterprise version. It offers an effective way to manage opt-outs without losing overall contact engagement.

Import our campaign template beforehand so that you can reproduce it 1:1 with the video. Your contacts can use unsubscribe via SMS if they have a mobile number stored in Klick-Tipp and can receive or send SMS.

The advantage of this method is that your contacts can unsubscribe from specific campaigns, like the launch of product A, instead of unsubscribing completely under → Contacts. They remain active and can continue receiving emails and text messages on other topics. This ensures happier contacts and fewer complete unsubscribes.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Set Up Sign-Up via SMS for Campaign Unsubscription

  • Create a → Sign-Up via SMS  under → List Building.
  • Name it and enter a keyword such as → Stop  or similar, which your contact can send via SMS to the country-specific Klick-Tipp mobile number selected above.
  • Select a tag such as → Stop Product A Launch,  which is checked later in the campaign and ends the campaign for the contact.
  • Open the imported campaign.

The start condition states that the contact must have at least the tag → Prospect Product A and be able to receive SMS, meaning a valid number must be entered in the SMS field.

The “If...Else...” action at the start of the campaign provides a clear graphic structure and offers you maximum flexibility to expand the branch for the launch emails if required. This branch can be expanded at any time. The continuous check to see whether the stop tag has been set is carried out in the NO branch using the “Goals” action.

If the tag is found, the campaign for the contact is ended. You can easily transfer this principle of unsubscribing to all your campaigns.
