Set Up SMS Messaging with KlickTipp and Vonage

Sending SMS through KlickTipp is available as an Enterprise feature.

SMS messages are sent using the Vonage provider. To get started, you’ll need an SMS number and sufficient credit. Both can be easily ordered directly from the dashboard in your Vonage account.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Configure SMS Settings in KlickTipp

  • In KlickTipp, go to → My Account  Settings  User Account.
  • Scroll to the SMS settings.

Connect to Vonage API

  • Log in to your Vonage account and go to the Vonage API Dashboard.
  • Copy the API key from Vonage.
  • Paste the API key into the → Vonage API Key  field in KlickTipp.
  • Switch back to Vonage and copy the value in the → API Secret  field.
  • Go back to KlickTipp and paste the value in the → Vonage API Secret  field.
  • At the bottom of the → User Account  page, click → Save.

Set Up Inbound SMS Webhooks

  • To receive SMS replies, use the URL https://api.klicktipp.com/.
  • In Vonage click on the → API Settings  button on the left-hand side of the dashboard.
  • Set the webhook format to → POST .
  • Paste the URL into the field under → Inbound SMS webhooks.
  • Click on → Save Changes  at the bottom right.

View Received SMS Feedback

  • You can view received SMS feedback in KlickTipp under → ContactsFeedbackSMS responses.
