Insert Webinar URLs Correctly into Emails

Ensuring your webinar URLs are correctly inserted into emails is key for seamless event access. In this guide, you’ll learn how to use placeholders to make your webinar links clickable and functional, helping you avoid errors and improve the participant experience.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Insert the Webinar URL Placeholder into Your Email

  • Create a new email or open the email with the access data that you send to your webinar guests after registration.
  • First insert the placeholder for the webinar URL, which will be transferred from the webinar provider to KlickTipp in an additional field.

Good to Know

The placeholder for the webinar URL will automatically become a clickable link in the received email.

It should not be linked again using the link icon in the email builder, as this will cause an error when the recipient clicks the link.

Simply insert it as is and leave it in its original form.

You can leave the placeholder as it is and insert it into the text. However, you also have the option of linking words or entire sentences to the placeholder.

Link Text to the Webinar URL Placeholder

  • First copy the placeholder to the clipboard.
  • Select the part of the text that you want to link to the placeholder.
  • Click on the link icon in the editor menu.
  • Select the protocol → other  from the drop-down menu (only available in the rich text editor) and paste the clipboard into the field next to it.
  • Finally, click on → OK.

Using placeholders to insert webinar URLs into emails helps ensure a professional experience. It also prevents errors for your recipients. Follow this guide to improve your email communication.
