Step-By-Step-Instructions
Insert Placeholders in Emails (Rich Text Editor)
- In the first step, select an email (rich text) under → Campaigns → Newsletter or → Campaigns under → Emails / SMS.
- Alternatively, you can create a new email using the → Rich Text Editor.
- Choose the appropriate placeholder from the → Placeholder drop-down menu in the editor.
- The placeholder variables will now appear around the text. When sent, they automatically fill with the values stored for each contact.
- Add a suitable salutation before the placeholder and remember to include a space.
- Treat the placeholder just like a regular word or number, so you can set punctuation and spaces as usual.
Insert Placeholders in Emails (Email-Builder)
- First select an email (email-builder) under → Campaigns → Newsletter or under → Campaigns → Emails / SMS.
- Alternatively, you can also create a new email with the → Email-Builder.
- Click in the text field and select the menu item → Insert Placeholder in the toolbar.
- For example, under → Recipient Details → Predefined Fields, select the placeholder for the first name.
- The placeholder variable now appears around the text. It is automatically filled with the value stored in the contact when it is sent.
- Treat the placeholder as if it were a word or a number. You therefore set punctuation and spaces as usual.
