Set Up Google Ads Tracking for KlickTipp Partner Program

Step-by-Step Instructions

Create a Conversion Action in Google Ads

  • Log in to your Google Ads account.
  • Navigate to → Tools and Settings.
  • Click on → Measurement  Conversions.
  • Click on → New Conversion Action.
  • Select the → Website  button.
  • Enter the KlickTipp URL and click → Check.
  • Scroll down and select → Add Conversion Action Manually.
  • Under → Select Category of the Target Project,  select Registration.
  • Enter a name for the conversion campaign.
  • Under → Value,  select → Option 3.
  • Under → Counting Method,  select → One.
  • Click on → Done.
  • Click on → Save and Continue,  then → Done  again.

Set Up the Conversion Tag

  • In the overview of actions under → Registrations,  click on the created conversion action.
  • Select → Tag Setup  Insert Tag Yourself .
  • Copy the event snippet at the bottom of the page and paste it into a text editor.
  • Copy the conversion ID and the conversion label individually from the snippet into your text editor.

Connect the Conversion Campaign with KlickTipp

  • Log in to your KlickTipp account.
  • Click on → Affiliate Program  Advertising Material  in the menu.
  • Select the → Ad Tracking  button.
  • Under → Google Pixel,  enter the values for the conversion ID and the conversion label.
  • Finally, click on → Save.

The conversion campaign at Google now records registrations for the KlickTipp webinar. All registrations made via your affiliate link are counted.
