Use “Detect Gender” Action in KlickTipp Campaigns

Step-by-Step Instructions

Add the Action

  • Firstly, open your → Campaign  in the marketing cockpit.
  • After the “Detect Names” action, add the “Detect Gender” action to the campaign. To do this, click on → + Add Action.
  • Select → Detect Gender.
  • Name the action and select the field in which the contact's first name was saved.

Configure the Action

  • The determined value, whether male, female or ambiguous, is written to an additional field. To do this, activate the option → Write Value in an Additional Field.
  • You can define the value for the different genders as you wish.
  • Alternatively or additionally, you can assign tags for different genders. You can select existing tags or create new ones.
  • Finally, click on → Save.

Good to Know

If a first name cannot be assigned a unique gender, such as the name → Alex, then the value → not unique is automatically set. If the first name field only contains a random character string (e.g. blabla123), no result is determined.

If the first name is not stored in our database, the field also remains empty.
