Create a Welcome Campaign for New Contacts

A welcome campaign is a great way to engage new contacts and make a strong first impression. In this guide, you’ll learn how to set up a personalized welcome email and automate your onboarding process, step by step. Start building meaningful connections from the very beginning!

Download the campaign template provided. Before launching the campaign, customize the welcome email to fit your style and messaging.

Use the → Smart Import  feature for the campaign template. This will automatically create the required → Confirmation Date  field and the welcome email, saving you time and effort.

Step-By-Step-Instructions

Let's Take a Look at the Campaign

  • Open the imported campaign in the → Marketing Cockpit.
  • The campaign starts for all contacts who can receive emails.
  • In the following action, the confirmation date is written to the queryable field.
  • In the subsequent “If...Else...” action, the system checks whether the confirmation date is more than 24 hours ago.
  • If the confirmation date is more than 24 hours ago, the campaign is ended. To do this, the contact goes to the YES branch.
  • If the confirmation date is within the last 24 hours, the NO branch is used. The welcome email is sent there. The campaign is then ended in the same branch.
  • Activate the campaign. To do so, click on the gray pause sign in the top left of the Marketing Cockpit.
  • Select a sending time at which the campaign is switched to → Active.
