How to Copy a Campaign including Emails in KlickTipp
In this article, we will show you how to copy a campaign including emails in KlickTipp. The original emails remain unchanged.
Did You Know?
In a campaign copy, the email actions refer to the emails of the original campaign. If you would like to make individual adjustments, you will need a copy of the email.
Copy a Campaign
- In the menu, select → Campaigns → Campaigns to go to the overview of campaigns.
- Click on the → Settings button of the campaign to be copied on the right.
- Select → Copy.
- Name the copy of the campaign and click → Save.
- Select → Marketing Cockpit in the menu on the left.
Copy an Email Created with the Rich Text Editor
The campaign copy still contains the original emails from the old campaign. Changes to these emails also affect all other campaigns that use them. To prevent this, you should create a “hard copy” of the email.
- To do this, click on the first email action in the campaign.
- Copy the title of the email from the editing dialog.
- Deselect the email by clicking on the cross to the right of the name.
- Then click → Create on the right.
- Name the copy of the email and select Rich Text Editor.
- Now click on → Edit on the right.
- Paste the clipboard under → Copy content from another email. This should contain the name of the original email.
- Select the displayed original email.
- The settings of the original email as well as the subject and text content are copied. You can now edit and save the email as you wish.
Create a New Email with the Email Builder from a Rich Text Editor Email
In the Email Builder, only the settings and subject can be copied automatically.
However, this only applies if the original email was created with the Rich Text Editor. The text must then be copied separately from the email.
- Select an email that has already been created with the Email Builder.
- Now follow the steps as for the Rich Text Editor until you reach this dialog.
- Carry out the following steps as for the Rich Text Editor. You will notice that only the subject and the settings have been adopted. The actual design process for the email will now follow.
- Click on → Save and design email.
- Select a template.
- Open the email that you created with the Rich Text Editor in a new browser tab. To do this, go to the menu → Campaigns → Emails / SMS and click on the email whose text you want to copy.
- Scroll down to the text area, select the text and copy it.
- Switch the browser tab and paste your text into the email in the Email Builder.
Copy an Email Already Created with the Email Builder
- Create a new email using the Email Builder until you reach the template selection.
- In the template section, select the → My emails tab.
- To import the email, click on the small document icon on the right.
- The imported email contains all the content of the original email. The settings and subject have also been copied from the original email. You can check these again in the settings via the cogwheel at the top left.
This guide allows you to customize the content of the copied campaign without accidentally modifying existing campaigns. You can still build on the content of the original campaign exactly as is.
