Change Emails in Active Campaigns in KlickTipp
There may be times when you want to change the content of emails in active campaigns. Here we show you two simple methods for editing email content directly. You can do this directly from within the campaign.
Another option is to go to the overview of campaign emails. Your campaign can remain active while you make adjustments. All changes will be applied immediately.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Edit Email Content Directly Within the Campaign
- Go to an email action in your campaign.
- Click on → Edit. A new browser tab will open with the editing dialog.
- Then follow the steps or refer to our Email Builder guide for further details.
- Alternatively, you can also go to the view in the campaign. There you will see all emails listed one below the other. Click on the icon with the envelope at the top right.
- Select the email you want to edit. You can adjust sending details, such as the sender or reply address, directly in the dialog. These are, for example, sender email address, reply email address, CC and BCC as well as signature.
- You can change the content itself directly in the drag & drop editor by clicking on the button.
Edit Emails Through the Campaign Email Overview
- Go to → Campaigns → Emails / SMS.
- Select the email to be edited.
- Click on the email and you will be taken directly to the editing dialog. Follow the editing steps here and save the email. The content changes are immediately applied to the campaign email action.
Common Questions & Answers
How Can I Add or Remove Emails in Active Campaigns?
Both are possible if you cancel or pause the campaign first.
- First pause the campaign by clicking on the → Active button next to the campaign name.
- Then click on → Cancel in the campaign overview.
- The contacts will remain exactly where they were before the campaign was paused.
- Click on the plus with the blue separator strip where you want to add the email action.
- Select the email action.
- Go to the email action, enter a name and select the desired email.
- Finally, click on → Save.
- You can delete an email in a campaign by clicking on the small cross at the top right.
- A warning message will then appear. Click on → Yes, delete.
- Then reactivate the campaign using the pause button at the top of the Marketing Cockpit.
- Select a sending time or → Immediately and then click → Save.
Please note that campaigns are always processed from top to bottom. If a contact is already further along in the campaign, they will no longer receive emails inserted above them. If you add an email action at the beginning of the campaign, this will only affect contacts who have not yet passed by.
When deleting an email, it is important that there is no longer an active contact in the action or in the preceding "Wait" action. Otherwise, the contact will also be removed from this campaign. It will then no longer run through the campaign.
